Aunque esta canción la compuso para James Taylor, Carole King la incluyó en su exitoso disco Tapestry, del que se vendieron entonces mas de 10 millones de copias.

La versión de James Taylor, incluida inicialmente en el disco Mud slide slim y desde entonces fija en el repertorio del "virtuoso agridulce", como dijo un crítico:"su música es como la vida, dulce y amarga". La grabación siguiente es de la gira "One man band" de 2007.

Recien separado de Garfunkel, Paul Simon se embarca en una gira con el grupo Los Incas, renombrados como Urubamba por problemas legales, con los que habia quedado deslumbrado en Paris en 1965. De aquella gira se editó en 1973 el disco Live Rhymin' con algunas canciones en la que intervine el grupo de Jorge Milchberg, con Jorge Cumbo, Emilio Arteaga y Uña Ramos.

Mucho mejor que lo que se ha dicho estos días al conocerse la muerte de Antonio Vega, el lider de Nacha Pop, lo dijo él en esta canción extraordinaria en la que reconoce que por creerse inmune a todo, también como Enrique Urquijo, inicio un camino sin retorno, "Jamás pensé que llegaría a helarme...". Por el camino nos ha dejado un puñado de canciones irrepetibles.
